Hey there, everyone! Fae here, with the next of the crewmember features in the leadup to Void Dreaming's initial launch!

Today we're going to be touching on Caleia, the fiery second-in-command directly under Zuberi. Let's get into it!

Role: 2IC

Caleia has been a fighter as long as she's lived. From CitySec forces protecting her hometown to GalSec forces protecting the people of the Galactic Authority from threats within and without, to the highest levels of the Authority Star Fleet's armed forces and more tours of duty than almost any other serving soldier on record, this vixen cannot be discounted in a fight. Her knowledge of battle, skill with weapons, fiery temperament, and honed tactical assessment have played a large role in securing for her the position of Zuberi's second-in-command aboard the Void Dreamer.

That said, Caleia remains a difficult personality. Quick to anger and bluntly honest without regard for feelings or favor, getting under her skin is easier done than said. She brings more than a century's worth of experience with the ASF to bear in whenever she's in command of the Dreamer, and isn't shy about putting her foot down (including on your neck) if she feels the need to do so. The vixen demands respect from the moment you meet her, and is ever on her war footing.

At the same time, she's not so much a brute that she doesn't recognize the need to earn that respect. She takes her command seriously, and takes the safety and well-being of the crew even more seriously still. She would sooner rip the life from a threat to the crew of the Dreamer with her bare paws than suffer them a moment longer than is necessary. Maintaining the physical state of being necessary to protect the crew requires effort though, and Caleia can often be found in the Dreamer's gym, or elsewhere keeping her shooting skills sharp.

Caleia is the longest serving member of the Void Dreamer's crew from the date of her first commission, but has logged less hours aboard than other crewmembers like Sam and Zuberi. Unlike her captain, Caleia needs to plant both feet on solid ground once in a while, and other obligations keep her from a full-time position aboard the Dreamer. That shouldn't be misconstrued as a lack of focus and commitment to the Dreamer, however; suggesting such a thing to her would be a good way to draw her famously incendiary anger. Follow her orders, do your job, be very careful about provoking her ire... and you might even get to see a softer side of her.
